Cleaning out the boiler tubes
December 2013: OSR member Wayne Brunton cleans the boiler tubes on the B10 loco after several months of running time. Using a long handled steel brush, this tough job would have been done more frequently back when the loco was in daily use.
Getting B10 ready for a beautiful Sunday running day
December 2013: George is polishing the whistle while B10's boiler is warming up and the tank gets filled with water. We had a great day out with fine weather and lots of people enjoying a ride of the train.
B10 Final Steam Test

B10 Boiler arrives from Christchurch
June 2012: B10's renewed boiler arrives from Christchurch. It will soon to be fitted back into the steam loco.
1926 Stothert & Pitt Steam Crane
May 2012: OSR members evaluate how to raise the boom on the 1926 Stothert & Pitt Steam Crane located in the playground area near the harbour in Oamaru. Compressed air was applied to the pistons and after several fits and starts, the gears were coaxed into running condition. A video of raising the boom is on youtube:
